Who we are
Narrabeen Hotel Fishing Club
Narrabeen Fishing Club is a non for profit organisation which promotes fishing in a positive and sustainable manner.
What started as a "bunch of men fishing" has now, after 15 years, developed into a successful fishing club with an emphasis on not just the men, but familes and children. We now offer three competition fishing categories Rock & Beach, Estuary and Deep Sea across men, women, senior and junior categories.
We have approximately 150 members with 40% of the members being under the age of eighteen. There is a strong emphasis on mentoring the juniors to enjoy a clean and healthy lifestyle and to enjoy the great outdoors.
Our club ensures that the guidelines set out by the Fisheries Department are adhered to, if not exceeded in respect to fish sizing and bag limits. Read more about our comp info & rules.
We are always keen to gain new members so if you are interested please read more about joining our club or simply come down to our next weigh-in held at 2pm on the last Sunday of every month at Narrabeen Sands Hotel.
Our club raises funds for the Westmead Children's Hospital and Bear Cottage. We have chosen these two organisations as we believe in their work and it is also a great learning for our younger members in respect to assisting a meaningful cause through doing working bees at Bear Cottage.
We thank all our sponsors for their continued support with special thanks to our major sponsors Narrabeen Sands Hotel and Narrabeen Bait and Tackle who have backed our club since day one.
We welcome new sponsors to help us continue our drive towards mentoring our younger members of the community and promoting a sustainable future in the fishing industry.
