Competition Information

Narrabeen Hotel Fishing Club offers three competition fishing categories. They are:

  • Rock & Beach

  • Estuary

  • Deep Sea

 

Additionally, we have Mens, Womens, Junior & Sub-Junior divisions in each competition category.

​

Below are the fishing club's marine size and bag limits as well as the points score system for each fish. You can click to download and then print out each sheet.

NOTE: These limits are subject o change by resolution of the committee, or by Government legislation.

Size Limits: Maximum legal length unless otherwise stated.

Bag Limit: Maximum number (per competitor) in possession is 10 species.

20 fish overall per fisherman.

Protected Species:

These fish cannot be taken, they must be carefully returned to the water.

Australian Grayling Herbst Nurse Shark, Elegant Wrasse, Estuary Cod, Turban Snails (from sea).

Disqualification.

A. The method of registration, fishing or capture contravenes these by-laws; or

B. The competitors fish was caught outside of defined boundaries or times; or

C. Fish presented for weigh-in were not caught by the competitor claiming the catch; or

D. Fish which are or have been frozen or in putrid condition are presented; or

E. A competitor has a fish which does not attain or exceed the minimum length within the weigh-in enclosure.

F. Fish that is not gilled or gutted cleanly.

G. All competitors must have more than one person in the boat if further out than 10 Klms
